Wizards v Watton Warriors
1 min readAfter an admin faff of me forgetting to book the pitch my fellow coaches stepped up to shuffle matches allowing us to get our game on.
On a much narrower and smaller pitch we weee forced to play the football we have been training for (short passes) although we decided to only do it in the 2nd half!
Watton were a strong well organised outfit and scored some good goals, our new defensive partnership of I & T looked good, with C filling in during substitutions. We were a little lack lustre in the 1st half but once I told them at HT there was a Norwich scout watching they all perked up!! Much better 2nd half, S running his socks off and winning and scoring a superbly taken penalty.
Friendlies v higher rated teams will only make us stronger so please bear with me on this one!!
Our keeper R was MotM today, some very good saves and one brilliant double safe at the end.
Back to league action Saturday with a new assistant coach helping out!!
