Dreams Shattered in Gut-Wrenching Loss
The lads league cup defense comes to an end after a 2-2 draw ended in a penalty defeat.
A tough one to take after being the better side we went 1 behind through a penalty and as luck would have it a penalty for us saw the lads draw level via Josh Haycox.
AG Hingham then started the second half well and got their noses ahead when we couldn’t clear the ball.
The lads drew level with 5 to play with a well-struck Liam Plunkett goal as AG struggled to clear their own lines.
After the full-time whistle the lads crash out on penalties.
A game we should have perhaps put to bed with our own chances ultimately ended in defeat.
Plenty of positives in the game and we are still unbeaten inside 90 minutes over the last 9 games.
