Hockering Football Club

Home to Mid-Norfolks Fastest growing club

It’s now getting to that frosty time of year, where both players and parents kit up for the cold early mornings. Gone are the days without hats, scarves and gloves. Fortunately, whilst Buxton cancelled today’s later kickoff, our Hawks’ game against Hethersett miraculously went ahead.

We set out aiming for energy and intensity, not just so that players kept warm but also in search of an early opener. We entered the second half with a two goal advantage as some positional changes were made but still maintaining our front-foot approach.
Both teams battled hard until the last whistle, with the opposition keeper’s incredible saves and a defender’s spectacular goal-line block seeing ourselves denied many opportunities. In the end our lead was extended and efforts paid off with another victory.

As a whole, whilst more confidence was seen in front of goal as individuals did well to get into good positions and create chances, we’ll continue our work on passing to find that right attacking balance.

Thanks for the support!
