Hockering Football Club

Home to Mid-Norfolks Fastest growing club

Another late cancellation left us with a single match this weekend. We set up to face Mulbarton as we looked to bounce back after last Saturday.

An overall tight and competitive game which saw a cagey first half on a very hilly pitch. Like Japan vs Spain, the action kicked in during the second half with the hosts earning themselves an opener. Players and supporters alike were sceptical whether a successful goal-line clearance had been made, but honesty and sportsmanship from our keeper saw the goal given.

We refused to let up though, upping a gear and countering with two quick goals to turn the tide. In the end, our third widened the gap and earnt a well deserved victory.

Got to give a lot of credit to the determination and attitude today, with players giving their all right until the final whistle. Building ourselves some form with 4 in our last 5, and great to see our newer recruits growing in confidence, gelling with the group as a whole.

Thanks for the support!
