The sun was out, the weather was class and a beautiful Hockering morning was in session. With games all around, we kicked off with a Hawks goal-fest in what was an entertaining and end-to-end affair.
Starting strong, Hockering earnt themselves a two goal lead going into the first break, where continued focus was placed upon positivity and team-work. The action didn’t stop as Hellsdon replied with a goal of their own before the Hawks’ advantage was shortly restored following penalty drama.
A superb first half performance and definitely one to be proud of. The battle continued right until the final whistle as the scoreline ended with three goals apiece. Thoroughly impressed with the hard work from each and every player, with plenty of improvement on show, taking on board work done at training.
Man of the match went to our stand-in keeper, giving an amazing effort between the sticks after kindly stepping forward at late notice. Not quite the debut expected but a great job none the less.
We push onto Heigham next week!
