Double Trouble! – Wizards & Hawks vs Watton

What a morning of Hockering football for the under 9s, with both Wizards and Hawks in action at Watton.
Kicking off first with the Hornets, the team had a strong challenge ahead of them, facing a strong Watton side. Not one player failed to rise to said test, with the effort and determination on show from everyone proving themselves a team not to be messed with. Despite going a goal down, the kids created their chances further forward, battling relentlessly for their equaliser at the end. Couldn’t have been done if not for the hard work at the back, with blocks, clearances and tackles keeping the opposition at bay.
The Hawks led our second kickoff with an equally entertaining match. Showing a proper team performance this morning, the kids did themselves proud and earnt themselves a long-awaited and much deserved victory! Scoring early on, they worked hard defensively to keep the clean sheet. Great things come with patience as today sums up this team’s progress, and we couldn’t be happier.
In the end great results for both teams, with the Wizards having a break next weekend and Hawks looking to build momentum against Hethersett.
