The Men were technically the home team today in their Ben Smith Memorial Cup tie played at Litcham.
Several enforced changes to last week’s squad and with 4 regular starters still out inured / away we went into the game knowing we would have to be at our very best to get anything out of it.
And we were. With probably our best display of the season so far we were clinical in front of goal and energetic in defending our own.
Josh Haycox got us going by slotting away a penalty before Castle Acre responded with one of their own. We then settled again and got going with 3 further 1st half goals from Keen (2) and Clark.
The second half we pushed again and Jamie Keen was rewarded with this 3rd and Haycox cooly smashed in his 2nd and our 5th.
In the Quarter Finals, we will face FC Viking.
