Held at Home

The lads were in league action for what seemed like the first time in months on Saturday. A solid 1st half performance saw us go in at halftime at nill-nil thanks to a penalty save from Olly Watkins who saved to his right from Joe Exotics’s spot kick. Hingham started the second half the better team and worked the area from set pieces. It was from this they got the first goal of the game after a long throw the ball wasn’t cleared and Hingham slotted home from 12 yards before wheeling away to the adulation of his teams mate.

We restarted and played the ball back to Captain Tom Stones who clipped it forward for Josh Haycox to beat the CB and keeper. 1-1 level within 1 minute.

We settled again and started to create chances, Hingham started to look tired and our front two kept pushing them, and then Jamie Keen found the ball on halfway, dribbled past the entire Hingham defence (some of them twice) and slipped it past the keeper.

Hingham once again leveled the game again from a set piece and just when we thought we had won it from a Dan Pyman header at the back post the flag went up…

All in a great game of Football to watch and the Hock are just starting to get going now. Still more to come!
