Starting Spring Strong! – Wizards vs Sprowston

Our last game against Thetford set the tone and today’s performance kept that standard, in what was another hard-worked victory.
Pressing from the first whistle, the Wizards opened the scoring early on with a cheeky finish off a looping throw-in. Throughout the game, the speed and directness of our throw-ins definitely created problems for Sprowston as well as effective use of width and forward-thinking passes.
Both attacking and defensive units were challenged as the two teams grew into the game minute by minute. In the end, a late goal extended the Hockering lead and the clean sheet was kept.
Overall a tasty and competitive match, bringing each and every player more and more out of their shells. Two debuts made and a great morning of football.
