Hornets vs Aylsham

After late venue changes, the Hornets found themselves facing Aylsham up the FDC in what was a end-to-end battle and a tale of two halves.
We were caught quick during the first half as the opposition found the net on three occasions. However it wasn’t long until we kicked up the gears, with the kids showing great character and belief to keep themselves in it.
From that point on we applied vigorous pressure, working the opposition defence with numerous attacking chances and were unlucky to just come short. A late penalty decision added to the drama, with supporters already on the edge of their seats. In the end, not one player gave up and that’s all we can ever ask for.
Had so many games like this since Christmas; ones where if played for just ten minutes longer, it would be almost impossible to call a winner. Got to give them all so much credit for that as definitely facing some stronger opponents.
