Costessey Cracker!

An action packed affair set the standard for the Hornet’s second half of the season as we hosted Costessey yesterday morning.
Despite our return from Christmas break, the Hornet’s coaches had nothing to fear fitness-wise as the impressive energy and determination on show were key to the result. Costessey are notoriously difficult oppositions but after a goal-less first quarter, we kicked up a gear and earned a well deserved two goal lead going into half time. This extended with a third soon afterwards and almost a fourth as the striker in search of his hattrick rattled the woodwork. Sadly Costessey’s late consolation goal denied the clean sheet but was no negative reflection upon another superb defensive and goalkeeping performance.
In the end, a great game that could have easily gone either way if not for the effort, hunger and commitment given by all!
