Hornets and Hawks in action!

1 min read

With numbers high, the u9s had a double gameweek Saturday. It was opportunity for plenty of game time for everyone involved.

Starting with Lewis, Tom and the Hornets hosting Holt United for the morning’s first kickoff:
‘Like our first encounter, the match was hard fought with both teams equally matched for the majority. In the end the result was a positive one for the Hornets thanks to some faultless tackles and superb teamwork.
The work put in by each player must be recognised, giving it their all and chasing every ball. Concentration is an area, alongside others, that will continue to be worked on in training. However the performance was faultless’

Away at Thetford were Elliot and the Hawks:
‘A game unfortunately not finishing in our favour against a strong and well-trained Thetford side.
An important take was awareness of opposition players when not in possession. Strikers lurking at the back post caused us trouble throughout. Think this saw improvement as the game went on, but will continue work in training.
MOTM was shared between two players who’s improvement in confidence today impressed me.’

Thanks for the support!
