Hellesdon and Dussindale Away

The ladies took on Division 1 side Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers FC in the Ladies 7’s Cup today. Unfortunately, we lost 3-1 but made it very difficult for them.
We started off strong, closing them down and getting some good possession with a few chances. They also had some good shots which brought some brilliant saves from Amy Cubitt our GK. One lucky long shot got past her and we went 1-0 down.
At half-time, we re-grouped and continued the intensity. Then with some space, Rachael Paine took off on a run down the middle of the pitch and took a chance on goal bringing us level. We battled on and had more chances but they nicked a 2nd goal. With the game coming to a close they kept coming and coming and finally got their last goal.
We finished the game as we started and showed our willingness to battle for the ball.
A great performance from everyone. POM was Rachael Paine.
