Hawks away at Dereham

Looking to continue their positive start, the Hawks were off to face Dereham Town.

The hosts were a well trained side but we gave our best, upping a gear in the second half in search of a goal. Both keepers were playing with confidence; with one particularly eager to play high and with his feet, getting himself involved with the buildup.

For most, today was a first matchday experience of an astroturf surface. A big pitch highlighted the importance of strong passing and good positioning, both elements we’ll continue to work upon in training.
