Finishing on a high! – Hornets vs Thetford

The Hornets had one more game to mark the end of their season and what a game it was! The team made the cross-county trek to face Thetford Bulldogs, praying the weather would hold out.
The kids were on it from the first whistle as the game went back and forth. Despite falling behind, we soon equalised and pushed forwards from there. Not long before half time we gained the lead with a corker of a free kick. Round the wall, past the keeper. WOW!
Weight of pass and corners needed work but the team tackled the 2nd half with even more determination than the first, earning themselves a two-goal advantage come the final whistle.
A roller-coaster of emotions and a proper team performance. Overall really sums up the work done over the last few months, with passing and playing from the back so impressive. Couldn’t be prouder!
