The Under 15s battled to three points today with a depleted squad. We started quickly and pushed the Bacton defence and midfield back into their own 18-yard box for much of the first ten minutes of the game.
A solid corner routine saw us come close in the first 2 minutes with the Bacton defence scrambling it clear. On 15 minutes we released the pace of our front line and a brave finish past an on-rushing keeper saw us go 1 up.
The game settled and Bacton created their fair share of chance. On 30 minutes the Hockering keeper was injured in a challenge. A quick reshuffle and we tried to settle back into it. We made it to half time 1-0.
After the break Bacton pushed and equalised by a somewhat fortuitous own goal. shortly afterwards they were awarded a penalty which was cleared after hitting the post. This seemed to spur the team on and we came back to score 2 more and secure all three points.
