Foundation Phase “The Swarm”

The Foundation Phase teams have been named with a nod to our sponsors Swarm Apprenteships. The Under 7s will be know as the Bees, The Under 8s the Wasps and the Under 9s as the Hornets. Training for the Foundation Phase will be every Wednesday through out the summer Holidays starting at 6pm. There is still a little room for new players to get involved with the three teams but spaces are limited. To give maximum game time to everybody we aren’t going to use the maximum squad allocation. The Under 7s and 8s will be restricted to 8 players (5V5 Format), the Under 9s will keep a squad of no more than 11 (7v7 Format). The Club could quite easily recruit beyond this however we feel that taking registration fees knowing children would not get adequate game time is unfair.

New Foundation Phase Partner

Swarm Apprenticeships are the latest company to join the club, Their Logo will be displayed on the front of our Under 7s, 8s and 9s for the next 3 seasons. Their banners will welcome over 120 visiting sides to Heath Park over the next year.

Marketing Manager Emily George explains what this means to Swarm Apprenticeships, “Swarm Apprenticeships (C.I.C) is a not for profit, national training provider. We are a Norfolk born training provider that loves to invest in our local community. Therefore, we are delighted to be the sponsor for the Hockering Football Club Foundation Phase”. Club Secretary Derrick Johnson added “This investment is a huge step forward for us, it not only ensures all of our Foundation Phase Teams are wearing the exact same kit but also allows us to reinvest in our Coaching team. The Foundation phase teams will all have Junior Coaches involved and all of those coaches need to have the relevent FA Qualifications. This investment gives us the opportunity to offer coaching roles to Teenagers, its the perfect link up”.

New Coaches wanted

With an ever increasing number of sides we need to add to our coaching team. There is an opportunity to get involved with coaching our Under 9s, Under 11s and Under 15s Girls teams. Each volunteer will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and undergo Child Safeguarding training and Emergency Aid training (This will be provided by club). If you are interested please contact us via the website page or by emailing committee@hockeringfc.com

Foundation Phase Shirt Sponsors

Our Foundation phase teams need a shirt sponsor, We understand that times are tough for businesses aswell as individuals. With that in mind we are looking for several companies to come together and sponsor our new kits. There will be approximately 35 kits in total. There will be 3 home kits and 1 away kit. This gives us the chance to have 2 Front of shirt sponsors (One on home one on away) A sleeve sponsor on every shirt a sponsor on shorts and one on the back of the shirt. We will also give every sponsor a new pitch side banner. We are looking for £250 per sponsor. This will cover the cost of the kits. We will do a random draw as to who goes where on what shirt. for anybody who is looking to get involved please email us at committee@hockeringfc.com or get in touch via our contact page

The Saints are Marching in!

2021/22 Season Hockering FC will be expanding and developing on a youth section. The Club have linked up with local Youth side Dereham Saints and now provide a pathway to Adult Football. Future Saints teams will move over to Hockering and Join our Hockering Saints Youth set up when they reach U15s.  The two Clubs will work closely to ensure that every child is given the very best coaching available and a route into adult football. Saints Chairman Jack Cassidy will bring his U15s to Hockering to be the 1st Hockering Saints team, Jack said “It provides the perfect pathway for the teams working closely with a like minded club”, Hockering Club Secretary and Saints U13s Coach Derrick Johnson added, “This Link up makes perfect sense for all involved,  A pathway to Adult Football which not only keeps both clubs operating in tough times but allows a good level of cross over in coaching and philosophy”.

Back to Winning Ways

Its been a strange season so far for both teams. Neither getting going or stringing together any run of results. The last lockdown was probably just what we needed and we’ve come back from it all guns firing. The Reserves have won 2 from 2 scoring 8 and keeping a clean sheet. The Firsts have also won two from two scoring 5 and most importantly two clean sheets. Some may also suggest that both teams have done it without some key players. That being the case the 1st team mad eonly one chnage t,o the squad over two games and that was enforced. Its looking like it could be a far better 2021 than 2020 on the potch, heres to hoping thats the same off the pitch!
